Asian American Youth for Environmental Justice
Mission Statement
Asian American Youth for Environmental Justice (AAYEJ) is a grassroots community organization founded, led, and operated by young Asian Americans. Centered in the San Francisco Bay Area, we seek to empower and uplift marginalized peoples impacted by environmental injustice by educating, connecting, and establishing positive systemic change in our local and larger community.
What we've done
We are a group of Asian American youth centered in the SF Bay area working towards environmental justice. By partnering with organizations such as Brightline Defense Project, creating national solidarity with other EJ groups like CAAEJ, educating younger generations on sustainability, and advocating for Bay Area schools to integrate environmental justice into STEM curriculums, we are beginning to take action to change the way environmental justice is spoken about.
